CHAPTER - VI

AUTHOR'S POV

" Abhi hame aap se ek Zazuri baat karni hai " Dada hukum said

" Ji Dadu " Said Abhimaan with his whole focus on his Dadu

" Breakfast ke baad humne hamare study mai mileye " Dada hukum said

" Ji " Abhimaan said and continued to do his breakfast after he was done he went to Dada hukum's study and knocked

" aa jao Abhi " Dada hukum said and made him sit infront of him

" hum aapse idher - udher ki baaten nhi karenge point pe aate hai " he said

" ji " Abhimaan said

" Hum chahte hai ab aap shaadi kar len " Dada hukum said

" Dadu we have been through before or hum bar bar khe cuke hai ke hum in sab mai believe nhi karte or hum shaadi nhi kar chahte " he said

Dada Hukum chuckled softly, the lines on his face deepening as he sat down on the grand chair by the window. "Yes, I know, my boy. But that doesn't mean we give up. You're not getting any younger, and Rajasthan needs a queen. A wife. Someone who can help carry the weight of this kingdom beside you."

Abhimaan crossed his arms. "I don't need anyone. I have everything I need. Power. Wealth. Influence. What more is there?"

Dada Hukum's eyes softened, but there was a steely determination behind them. "You are a king, yes. And a business tycoon, the richest man in Asia. But even kings need a companion, a partner to rule with. A queen doesn't just fill a space in the palace, Abhimaan. She is the heart of the kingdom."

Abhimaan's lips curled into a small, cynical smile. "The heart of the kingdom? I've seen enough of these women. They all want one thing, Dadu—money. Beauty, riches, power , They care about my crown. That's all they see. They don't love me. They love what I can give them. You know that better than anyone"

Dada Hukum's gaze grew sharper. "And how do you know that, my boy? Have you given anyone a chance to love you for who you are, not what you possess?"

Abhimaan scoffed. "I don't have time for love. Love is a distraction. A weakness. I've built an empire from the ground up, and I won't let anyone tear it down with their empty promises of affection."

Dada Hukum sighed deeply, his hands resting on his cane. "You are a wise and powerful man, Abhimaan. But even wisdom can be clouded by pride. You've spent your whole life building walls around your heart, so high and so thick that you can't see what's on the other side. You think you're safe behind them, but you're not. Not really."

Abhimaan let out a bitter laugh. "You sound like all those old stories you tell me when i was small, Dadu. The fairy tales where the prince finds his princess. But I'm not a fool. I don't believe in those stories anymore. Women are a business transaction, and they want something from me. It's always the same."

" I've seen the loneliness in your eyes, Abhimaan. I know you better than anyone. And I know what this empire has cost you. But you're not just a king. You're a man. A man who needs to be loved, not for what he owns, but for who he is. I know you think you don't need anyone. But deep down, you do. You need someone to stand by you when the world falls apart. Someone who will see beyond the crown and look at the man within."

Abhimaan's heart pounded in his chest, but he held his ground, even though Dada Hukum's words struck a chord deep inside him. He had lived in the world of wealth and power for so long that he had forgotten the feeling of vulnerability. His chest tightened at the thought of opening himself up to someone again, of possibly being hurt once more.

"I don't want to get hurt , Dadu," he said, his voice quieter now. "I don't want to give anyone the chance to use me."

Dada Hukum smiled gently, his eyes soft but knowing. "I understand, my boy. But love is not about giving someone the chance to use you. It's about finding someone who will cherish you—not the crown, not the money, but you, the man. And you deserve that, Abhimaan. You deserve to find someone who will love you for who you are, not what you are."

Abhimaan stared at his grandfather for a long moment, his thoughts a whirlwind. For the first time in years, the walls around his heart seemed to crack, if only slightly. He wanted to dismiss the thought, to shut down the idea, but Dada Hukum's steady gaze made him hesitate.

Dada hukum continued, his voice filled with warmth and conviction, "This isn't just about the kingdom, Abhimaan. This is about you finding happiness. A partner who can stand with you, not just when the world sings your praises, but when the weight of the crown becomes too heavy. You need someone to walk beside you—through all the darkness and the light."

" aur vaise bhi hame bhi aapne great-grandchildren ke sath khel na hai " Dada hukum said laughing making abhimaan smile a little .

And so, after a long silence and a deep sense of resignation, Abhimaan had said yes. Yes to marriage. Yes to meeting the girl they had chosen for him. Not because he wanted it, but because his family, his legacy, demanded it. For the sake of tradition. For the sake of everyone who depended on him.

" Matlab tumhari han hai " dada hukum asked abhimaan and he nodded making Dadu hukum excited and hug him after breaking the hug .He turned away from the window, the finality of his decision weighing on him. Marriage. He would meet her, and perhaps, like everything in his life, it would become a business transaction. He had no use for love. He had built his empire with steel and stone, not affection. Yet, there was a part of him—deep, buried, and never acknowledged—that wondered what it would be like to have someone by his side.

" tujhe koi ladki pasand hai " he asked Abhimaan

" Nhi " Abhimaan replied instantly

" vaise ek ladki hai bohot paayri hai hamne dekha tha unhe jab hum charity event mai gye the , or hame lagta hai ki vo aap ke liye sahi hogi " dadu hukum said and abhimaan agreed to meet the girl whenever they want .

" hum chalte hai Dadu " said Abhimaan and went to his room as soon as he went kajal Singh Rathore entered the study room

" Kya bola abhi " she asked her husband who instead of giving answer to her pulled her close to himself and said

" hame batane ka kya milega " he asked her

" ye kya baccho jesi baate kar rahe hai boliye na ki abhi ne kya kha " asked Kajal to her husband

" jaanna hai tho " he said and showed her his cheek indicating her to give him a kiss

" aap ko bilkul sharam nhi aati na aise harkte kar te huye , or chhod dijiye " she said and pushed him

" how unromantic you are tumhari na umr ho gayi hai ab " he said making both of them laugh .

Here on the other hand Abhimaan got ready for office and went downstairs only to see his mother sitting on the living room , Ridhimaa Singh Rathore,  , her presence regal, yet maternal. Her elegance, even in her later years, never diminished. She was a woman who had seen the rise of the Rathore dynasty and who had, time and again, borne the brunt of the world's expectations for her son.

" Maa hum aate hai office jaa rahe hai " he said to his mother who stood up as he came , she kissed his fore head and said

" Abhi jaldi aana or lunch karna mat bhulna or han aap na dhyn rakha "

" Ji Maa " he said and turned to leave

Abhimaan gave her a small nod and turned to leave .

As he made his way through the vast corridors of the palace, his thoughts shifted to the more immediate matters at hand. Today, like every other day, he had work to do. His empire was not built on dreams of a perfect marriage—it was built on control, ruthlessness, and efficiency.

Abhimaan's bodyguards stood in their usual positions—silent shadows, their eyes constantly scanning for threats. There were always eight cars—eight armored SUVs, black as night, each filled with security personnel. The convoy was always ready to move at a moment's notice. Abhimaan was a man with power, wealth, and influence, but that also made him a target. His safety was paramount.

As he left the palace gates, his convoy of eight luxury cars was waiting, lined up with military precision. The black Rolls Royce, his personal vehicle, led the way, surrounded by four black SUVs, two armored vehicles, and a van for additional security. His personal bodyguards, trained to perfection, stood around him like a fortress, scanning the surroundings for any potential threats.

Abhimaan's eyes were forward, his thoughts focused solely on the business ahead. He didn't have time for distractions, not today, not ever. He was the king of business in Asia, and his empire was one that was built on cold calculations, ruthless decisions, and unyielding willpower. But even in his towering success, he had earned the fear and respect of everyone who crossed his path.

The drive to his office was uneventful, the city bustling with the typical noise of morning traffic. But the moment Abhimaan's convoy turned into the parking lot of his office, the atmosphere changed. The employees, some of the most brilliant minds in the country, fell silent, their eyes immediately snapping to attention as the king arrived.

Abhimaan's arrival was always accompanied by an air of awe, fear, and respect. His employees, from the highest executives to the lowliest clerks, understood one thing—Abhimaan Singh Rathore was not a man you crossed. He had earned his reputation, and his reputation was not something easily shaken.

As the elevator doors opened to the top floor of his office building, Abhimaan walked out, his stride confident, purposeful. His assistant, Aditi, was already waiting for him, her back straight, her gaze steady.

" Good morning sir " His assistant he just nodded and asked with cold and controlled face " Is everything ready for the meeting "

Yes, sir," Aditi responded, quickly handing him the schedule for the day. "The board members are waiting in the conference room. There are a few matters we need to discuss regarding the international expansion."

Abhimaan nodded. " Let's not waste time."
